How it works
From a camera to an alert
Choose a camera, mark a shelf or bin, and set a schedule. RinVis keeps a history and alerts you when something needs attention.
The camera
Use a fixed camera
Use a fixed camera with a clear view. We can help check whether your existing cameras will work.
RinVis takes pictures from a connected camera on your schedule.
You can also upload a picture to explore setup before connecting a camera.
The schedule
Choose when to check
Check every five minutes, hourly, every six hours, daily or weekly, within each store’s local hours.
Missed checks include a reason, so you can see why there is a gap.
Stores and people
Give each team the access it needs
Organize stores by district or group and give each team access to the locations they manage.
Administrators
Manage stores, cameras, rules and team access within their assigned locations.
Users
Review readings and history. At their assigned level, users can also acknowledge alerts, request pictures and correct readings.
See store locations and camera status on one map.
Rules and alerts
Set rules across your stores
Set rules for one store, a district or your whole company. New stores inherit the rules that apply to them.
- A problem repeats. Repeated checks confirm the problem before an alert opens.
- One alert opens. You get one email when the alert opens, even if the problem continues.
- Your team sees it. Mark the alert as seen so your team knows someone has noticed it.
- The area recovers. The alert closes when a reading meets the rule again. A second email confirms it.
Stores can receive alert emails without needing an account.
Camera health
Know when a camera needs attention
- Not responding. A camera has failed to connect repeatedly.
- Not sending pictures. An expected picture has not arrived.
- Blocked, dark or moved. The camera’s view needs attention.
